All API endpoints require authentication using an API key. You must include your API key in the Authorization header of each request using the Bearer token format.

Getting an API Key (takes under a minute)

  • Login into your account at app.steuerboard.com
  • Go to the API page: Settings -> API
  • Create a new API key

Types of keys

There are two types of API keys:
  • Accountant keys
  • Client keys
Client keys are restricted to client context and dont have access to some endpoints. We highlight restricted endpoints in our API reference:
This endpoint is only available with an Accountant API key.
